Pediatric Surgery Q&A with Dr. Erica Hodgman
Background
Erica Hodgman, M.D. is a general surgeon with a specialty in pediatric surgery and burn care. She is part of the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
Dr. Hodgman earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Texas – Southwestern Medical Center as a resident of general surgery. Her fellowship in burns, trauma and critical care was completed at the University of Texas – Southwestern. She completed her fellowship in pediatric surgery at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, and she completed her fellowship in pediatric surgical oncology at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Hodgman’s focus of research is based on adult and pediatric burn care, burn injury, pediatric oncology, trauma and sickle cell disease.
