Background
Clint Cappiello specializes in general pediatric surgery, neonatal surgery, and pediatric trauma and burn care. Additionally, he is skilled in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques for management of pediatric hernias, reflux disease, congenital pulmonary airway malformations, and inflammatory bowel disease. His clinical interests are congenital and acquired conditions of the esophagus, lungs, diaphragm, and abdominal organs. He is skilled in the minimally invasive management of pectus excavatum. His research interests include trauma resuscitation and simulation to improve outcomes, ECMO, medical student, and resident physician education, and minimally invasive surgery for management of congenital anomalies. He is a member of the Vascular Anomalies Committee, specializing in the surgical care of vascular and lymphatic malformations. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Pediatric Surgical Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, among other professional societies.
